The Biohacking Routine That (Quickly) Changed My Life

Smart people recognise the warning signs before they hit the wall.

They see their future selves at 50, 60, 70 - and decide to course-correct whilst they still can.

But if you're overweight, depressed, and staring down the nihilistic rabbit hole of whether life is worth living…

What then?

Joining us this week is Nate Belmar, who went from contemplating ending it all in a Puerto Rico pool to building an aesthetic physique that turns heads everywhere he goes.

But his transformation wasn't just physical. It was a complete rewiring of how he approached food, technology, relationships, and consciousness itself.

What started as a desperate attempt to save his own life became a blueprint for escaping the modern traps that keep most people sick, distracted, and dependent.

The Biohacking Routine That (Quickly) Changed My Life | Nate Belmar

FROM BREAKDOWN TO BREAKTHROUGH

Hit rock bottom intentionally

Don't wait for life to force you into change.

Nate realised that staying on his current path meant a future of chronic pain, declining health, and watching his body deteriorate like his grandparents.

He used that vision of his worst-case scenario as motivation to completely restructure his lifestyle before it was too late.

  • Project your current habits forward 20-30 years and visualise the consequences

  • Use fear of your worst possible future as fuel for immediate action

  • Recognise that small daily choices compound into massive long-term outcomes

Become metabolically flexible

A lot of people are carb-dependent, and need to eat every few hours to function.

Nate instead learned to fast for extended periods, train in fasted states, and use his body's fat stores as primary fuel.

Train your body to burn fat instead of constantly relying on carbohydrates

Practice intermittent fasting to break the cycle of constant eating and insulin spikes

Learn to function optimally with fewer meals and longer periods between eating

People don't understand, you fast so you don't have to eat, so then you don't have to work out to burn the calories that you ate.

- Nate Belmar

Study relentlessly (and apply ruthlessly)

Don’t just mindlessly consume information.

Use your body as a laboratory to discover what actually works versus what sounds good in theory.

  • Balance information consumption with immediate practical application

  • Use your own body as the testing ground rather than blindly following experts

  • Eliminate sources of information that don't lead to measurable improvements

Question everything mainstream society tells you - From food pyramids to relationship timelines to career expectations.

Examine whether conventional wisdom is actually serving you or if it’s just for corporate benefit.

You recognise that your current trajectory leads to a future you don't want.

You start making changes that seem extreme to others but feel necessary to you.

You create a lifestyle that optimises for long-term health and freedom instead of short-term comfort.

Later this week, we’ll be sending a deep dive into everything that was covered in more detail to ensure you don’t miss any value from your watching.
